Welcome to our Featured Wine series! Each month Damian will profile a different Doffo wine, giving you a little bit of back story about the winemaking process, what to expect when you taste it, and what kinds of foods to pair it with. We hope you enjoy and visit us in Temecula soon to learn more about our handcrafted wines! February is another double feature as we profile our two latest Wine Club releases: our 2013 MotoDoffo and 2014 Zinfandel.
2013 MotoDoffo Art Series
We are very excited to introduce the 2013 MotoDoffo Art Series, our propriety red blend that packs a big punch! Inspired by Marcelo’s MotoDoffo Vintage Motorcycle Collection, the new MotoDoffo Art Series pays homage to founder Marcelo Doffo’s love and passion for vintage machines. Four unique labels make up this limited edition series, each adorned with one of Marcelo’s most prized motorcycles. All small-displacement Ducatis from the 1950-60s, these bikes first captured the imagination of a young Marcelo Doffo as he grew up in rural Argentina.
This big Malbec blend showcases the predominant varietal in its dark, rich color and intensity on the palate. Ripe strawberry and dark cherry combined with the sweeter notes produced by the American oak make this wine one worthy of sipping by itself or paired with great conversation..Preferably about motorcycles!
When to Drink: Ready to drink now, or bottle-age for 6-12 months.
Pair it With: This versatile wine pairs well with most dishes, best of all while chatting about motorcycles! From burgers to lamb-this versatile wine gets along with everyone at the table.
Winemaking Stats: Alcohol 14.2% | pH 3.63 | Total Acidity 6.40 gr/L
Barrel Program: Aged 28 months in 30% new / 30% used / 40% neutral American oak.

2014 Zinfandel
The wait is over! The much anticipated 2014 Zinfandel is finally here! We don’t normally submit wines into competitions, however, we had the opportunity to enter this wine into a local People’s Choice competition. This big, fruit-forward red fared very well amongst the crowd, and out of the 50 wines entered placed 2nd overall!
This crowd-pleasing Zin opens with scents of cherries and subtle hints of vanilla on the nose. The palate exudes sun-ripened strawberries and boysenberry. The finish is elegant and refined, leaving a smile on the face of all who taste it.
When to Drink: We highly recommend bottle-aging minimum 4-6 months.
Pair it With: St. Louis Style Baby Back Ribs, lamb, or event Italian sausage. For your cheese plate we recommend parmesan, aged cheddar, aged gouda and asiago.
Winemaking Stats: Alcohol 14.8% | pH 3.78 | Total Acidity 6.70 gr/L
Barrel Program: Aged 23 months in 50 new / 50 used American oak.
