Lexi Vinson has been an integral part of the Tasting Room team, providing fun and informative experiences for guests for years. We caught up with Lexi to find out more about her background and her time here at Doffo Winery. We hope you enjoy getting to know her a little better, and next time you visit be sure to say hello!
Where are you from?
I was born in Escondido and moved to Murrieta as a child. I’ve lived most of my life in Murrieta and Temecula.
When did you first become interested in wine?
Once I got into the industry my interest blossomed. I’ve always enjoyed the complexity of wine and learning something new every day.
Describe your first experience working in the wine industry and how you came to work at Doffo Winery.
My mom has actually been a member at Doffo over 10 years now, it was one of the first places I tasted in the valley after turning 21. She always stressed to me the importance of quality in wine and wine making and honestly led me to Doffo! This has been a great place to work since day 1.
What is it like to work so closely with the Doffo family?
Coming from a retail management background, it’s honestly refreshing to work so closely with a family. It’s such a different environment and has made the years fly by!
What is your favorite part of what you do at Doffo?
My favorite part of working at Doffo is traveling to motorcycle shows with the family! It’s always a unique, fun and fast-paced environment. We get to meet a lot of great new clients and people in the motorcycle industry.
How does the MotoDoffo Collection and wine brand play a part in what you do?
Since I travel with the family to the shows I feel like I have a lot of pride in the success of the MotoDoffo brand. From the apparel to the wine I have a soft spot for all things Moto!
What is your favorite Doffo wine? What upcoming wine release are you most looking forward to?
My favorite Doffo wine is our 2009 Syrah Reserve. The unique bottle is a showpiece that houses an even better wine and I’m so excited for the 2012 Syrah Reserve!
What is your favorite meal / Doffo wine combo?
My favorite combination would be sweet potato fries with goat cheese and chimichurri, with a glass of MotoDoffo Super Tinto!
If you did not work with wine, what would you be doing instead?
If I didn’t work in this industry I would probably be back in retail management. I enjoy a fast paced work environment that’s always evolving. I also have a love for dance and aerial arts and would love to open a studio one day!
