As we begin a new year, we reflect on the past year and look forward to the days to come. For the Doffo Family, we feel blessed that we get to continue on this journey of having our small family winery, producing quality wines. We are excited about all the new releases we will be sharing with all of you in 2016!
On a more personal level, we are so excited to welcome two new little ones into la familia. My sister, Brigitte, and sister-in-law Vanessa (Damian’s wife) are both expecting babies a month apart! We are also happy to see our father Marcelo back in action. Six and a half months, he shattered his leg and had to lay low from the day-to-day operations of the winery. But he has made a tremendous recovery and is already up and around with a little help from a cane. You may not see him around so much anymore due to his desire to travel a bit and begin another stage in his life, but if you get the chance to do a winery tour, our father is the best guide. You will learn more than you can imagine!
In the next few months, we will begin making improvements around the winery. This is a part of our company resolution to beautify and create spaces that are inviting for all of you – our members and guests.
You may also see some new faces around. We have expanded the team in an effort to provide better service.
Resolutions are so personal. There are those who think that announcing your resolutions make it harder for you to keep them, while there are others who think telling others about your goals make you more accountable. Whatever the belief, it is important to stay present.
Taking one day at a time and having an attitude of gratitude is the key to keeping your resolutions. During the next 6 months, I will be continuing my personal journey of spiritual growth and development. As most of you know, I have been practicing and teaching Kundalini Yoga for some time. I am excited to begin yet another level of training. This one is called Mind and Meditation. I know it will be transformative. I am always happy to share what I have learned.
If you ever want to come to a free class, I am still teaching at the Sun City/Menifee Library. Classes are the first and third Thursday of every month. First Thursday of the month, I teach a gentle yoga class at 11am. The third Thursday I teach Meditation at 10am and Yoga at 11am.
Want some resolutions for 2016? Here are my suggestions – resolve to try something new, something that makes you feel uncomfortable. And maybe you can try to reset your psyche and nervous system by hugging someone for more than 20 seconds. Of course, here’s one New Year’s Resolution we can all agree on: Drink the new wines at Doffo Winery. Drink more Doffo Wine!
